Iman Ali is recognized as one of the best actresses in Pakistan, but all this success was not easy. Recently, she spoke about her life and struggles in ‘Say it with Iffat Omer‘.
The 45-minute interview covered a variety of interesting topics that kept us on the edge of our seats at all times. Here are some of the most exciting revelations he made:
1. Iman was the first choice for Raees
Iman revealed that he had been offered the role in Raees alongside Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan. When Iffat asked what went wrong, Iman revealed that when offered the role, despite knowing he was opposed to SRK, he asked to see the script before accepting the film. She said that after making the request, she never had a response. Assuming the filmmakers took it as a bruise on his ego. “It even happens here in Pakistan that people are easily offended when I ask to see the script. That has to change, “he added.
2. Today’s models lack basic general knowledge
On the subject of “smart models,” Iffat first asked if there is anything in the modeling industry that requires intelligence. To this, Iman replied: “I think the fashion industry was lucky with us smart models before. Whereas now, if you see, there is none of that. I’m not an elitist, but the way they speak and their basic general knowledge just isn’t there. “
3. Bottom dashes are one of the reasons Iman doesn’t work much
Iffat raised the question of why Iman doesn’t work as much despite being offered so many movies. She replied: “It depends on whether or not I am in love with the project. With my health (she has been a patient of multiple sclerosis for the last fifteen years), I have to be careful with the work I do, otherwise I do not think it is worth it. It is worth putting my health at risk. ” When Iffat followed up with a question about whether or not he disliked the scripts, Iman replied, “I really don’t like the scripts presented to me.”
4. She is wanted because she is versatile
When Iffat mentioned the versatility he has shown in his three films, Iman replied that there is a reason why he is so sought after. She mentioned that her dominance over Urdu is rare in the industry and that is why people consider her different from other actresses. Along with this, he expressed anger at people considering his three appearances (Khuda Ke Liye, Bol and Mah e Mir) to say something similar: “If you are illiterate enough to think that you shouldn’t see the movies at all or probably not have seen them anyway.”
5. If Fawad weren’t an actor, he would have been …
When Iffat asked Iman what he thinks Fawad Khan should have been if he weren’t an actor / singer. She responded by saying, “We were in the same boat where we made our debut together. I was doing a play and I was a rock star that I wasn’t very good at, so I don’t know, I used to tell really stupid jokes, so maybe a failed comedian … “
