Maruti Suzuki has launched the S-CNG variant of the WagonR in India with a price of INR 5.25 lac. According to the company, the WagonR S-CNG is capable of returning a full mileage of 32.52 km / kg.

Maruti introduced vehicles equipped with CNG / S-CNG almost a decade ago and has already sold more than one million green vehicles, including both CNG and soft hybrids. The company expects that the next milestone of the million green vehicles will be achieved in a couple of years from now.
WagonR S-CNG has two interdependent ECUs (electronic control units) and an intelligent injection system. These S-CNG vehicles have been specially adjusted and calibrated to offer optimum performance regardless of the driving terrain. Under the hood, the Wagon R S-CNG variant runs on the same K10B three-cylinder, 998 cc engine that produces 58 hp at 5500 rpm and 78 Nm at 3500 rpm. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Introduced in January 2019, the third generation WagonR is based on Suzuki’s latest Heartect light platform, which is also the base of Ignis, Swift, Baleno and Dzire. In terms of safety and equipment, the new Wagon R is on par with its rivals, as it has a driver-side airbag, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors, as well as other mandatory equipment.
